This is an old Japanese wood block print. I do not know its age but the paper seems hand made. The dimensions are 15 5/8 X 10 1/2 inches. It is beautiful to look at and under glass the condition problems are hard to see. The problems are as follows, there is some foxing and in one place near the upper center left(under the small birds) some idiot tried to scrape it off(see photo) There is some damage to the lower left corner from what appears to be removed tape and there is remnants of old tape on the back - THAT SAID- this is still a very nice wood block print

Dear Ross,

I have never seen other prints for new Artist "DAIKOU (??)" .
I have no knowledge on his family name nor his background.
Judging from Doi Sadaichi publisher seal, he could be active in 1930's

Regards,

Tosh Doi
