I aquired it with other Japanese items at an estate sale.
The estate belonged to an old couple who spent many years in Japan before World World II.

It has the Kawase Hasui seal, is called a postcard print.

The woodblock printed area measures 3 3/4" by 5 3/4".

It is in fair condition, soft coverage of color, faint creases on 2 corners.

There is a stamped green mark on the back:

Rare early Kawase Hasui postcard-sized ukiyo-e woodblock print. This print is titled "City in the Rain" and is signed/stamped at corner. Printed in Japan and presumed to be from the 1930's. Print measures 4 X 6 inches.

Condition: Good antique condition. Lightly worn edges and corners. Light wrinkles.
