Rain at Murotozaki by Nishiyama Hideo. Original woodblock print dated February Showa 22 (1947). Title and date in left margin. Unsodo publisher's seal, Nagashima carver's seal and Shinmi printer's seal in right margin. Oban size measures 10.4 x 15.5 inches. Very good condition. Small thin spot on verso top margin. This is a beautiful woodblock print by shin hanga printmaker Hideo Nishiyama. A beautiful rain scene at the shore; a steamship sails across the horizon. Excellent color and impression. Slight thin areas in the corners of the margins where tape was removed. Oban size, about 10 x 15 plus margins
