from the Robert O. Muller collection
This beautiful 20th Century Japanese woodcut print is 1 out of a collection of 15 postcard prints by Kawase Hasui that I am currently offering on eBay. These beautiful prints are in pristine condition and look as though they have not seen the light of day since they were purchased! They were all published by Watanabe before 1936. All are approximately 4 x 6 inches and in excellent condition. They came out of a lovely Florida estate that had many other fine Japanese objects.
This framed woodblock print is by the Japanese artist Kawase Hasui (1883-1957).

Measuring 14.5" x 11.5", including frame, this print features a snow covered mountain top viewed through a frame of trees.

It is typical of the landscape scenes Hasui specialized in, which were based on quick sketches taken from nature.

Print bears the artist's stamp. Biography of artist on the reverse. Matting is acid free museum board. Actual print measures 6.25" x 4.25".
