Original Gihachiro Okuyama (1907 - 1981) Japanese Woodblock print
Village Street at Dusk

Comments- Lovely scene of a quiet village street as dusk begins to fall, the glowing windows of the shops and buildings overlooking the lengthening shadows outside. A few pedestrians are about, but the silent street is mostly deserted. Signed "G. Okuyama" in pencil in the lower margin. A charming print with a simple, rustic feel and a striking palette of rich blues, deep grays, and black. Would make a handsome display.

Artist- Gihachiro Okuyama (1907 - 1981)
Image size- 8 1/2" x 13 1/8" + margins as shown
Condition- With excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous folio mounting. Light soiling, slight creasing near edges, a few small lightly indented lines in subject. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
