Kawase Hasui - "Sengaku-ji Temple"

Dated Showa 1 (Feb) (1926)

Original atozuri wooblock print (later edition from original blocks) . Bearing the red Watanabe Heisei era seal in the margin. This indicates the print was created during the reign of the current Emperor Akihito, who ascended to the Throne in January 1989.

Oban size print on thick, modern washi.

Image size: 23.6cm (W) x 36.2cm (H)

Another very fine reprint, with a very rich colouration. Very good registration and impression with good bleedthrough of pigment to verso.
