Most all of them have come from one collection that was purchased between the years 1920 and 1940. Just wonderful, technicaly by Hiroaki also better known as Shotei. It is in pristine condition and measures 14 1/2 by 10 1/4, notice 6mm Watanabe seal lower left corner. Lots of nice embossing in the cats fur. Just a wonderful image of a, what else, Japanese Bobtail cat.

Takahashi Hiroaki Cat June,Taisho15 (1926) 26.0 x 36.6 cm pubished by Watanabe |
Offered for sale is an original Japanese woodblock print by Shotei Hiroaki (1871-1944), titled Tama, 1924. It is from the estate of Robert O. Muller, the world renowned collector and dealer of shin hanga school prints. It bears a small circular Watanabe Color Print Co. publisher's seal, so it is most likely an early post-war printing.
The print is in very good condition, with embossing in the cat's fur. There are no condition problems to note. The dimensions are approximately 9 3//8 by 13 1/8 inches, plus margins.
