| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | Monday, 2 January 2006 This is a wonderful small vintage signed woodblock painting by listed artist Kaoru Kawan, CANARY.Charming mod depiction of a young gal with a canary bird resting on her knee.The woodblock is about 7 inches tall by four and a half inches wide.I purchased it years ago at a military related estate sale.Altough not expert, I believe it is original as I can see and feel the paint or ink and I had purchased others by the same artist at that sale (which I have since sold and which were original).Due to the small size, and the fact that it is folded over I suspect it may be a card. |
