Hirosaki Castle

Uehara Konen (1878-1940)

Possibly published by Watanabe Shôzaburô, though this is not certain. Konen's work is not very well documented. This print is supposed to date from before WWII.

Paper size: 18 x 39 cm (7.1" x 15.4")

Fine impression, colours and condition, SEE SCANS!

The depth in this print is created by the very sharply outlined trees in the foreground contrasting with the haziness of the castle and the orange sky.
