Mt. Fuji Seen from the Banyu River

A beautiful rural scene along the Banyu River where a man navigates a small boat. Fuji rises majestically above the rural scene. Hasui has taken the traditional image of Fuji, reflecting back on a centuries old tradition of Fuji prints- wonderful.

Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui”
Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks
Image size- 14 3/8” x 9 ½” (oban yoko-e)
Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins
