ORIGINAL WOODBLOCK BY UMETARO AZECHI(1902-1999) TITLE: UKNOWN, SUBJECT IS OF TWO MOUNTAIN MEN. TITLED IN JAPANESE ON VERSO. POLYCHROME IMPRESSION. SIZE 12 3/4" x 17 3/8", PUBLISHED IN 1955, CARVED, PRINTED AND PUBLISHED BY THE ARTIST. EDITION 30 PRINTS OF WHICH THIS PRINT IS #16. SIGNED IN PENCIL AT THE BOTTOM 55 U. AZCECHI 16/30, WITH ARTIST RED SEAL AT LEFT. . CONDITION: GOOD, COLOR AND IMPRESSION VERY GOOD, NEVER LAID DOWN. SLIGHTLY TONED, SEVERAL SMALL SMUDGES LEFT BOTTOM MARGIN, TAPE RESIDUE ENTIRE TOP ON VERSO, ALSO TWO TAPE MARKS UPPER LEFT AND RIGHT TOP WHICH SHOW THOUGH SLIGHTLY ON FRONT.
