| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | A GORGEOUS, SIGNED, JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BY HASUI KAWASE ( 1883 - 1957 ). A master of the woodblock print, he earned the TITLE OF " LIVING NATIONAL TREASURE " in 1956, a year before his death. This wonderful piece is one of master hasui's famous snow scenes. Very strong color and has the AUTHENTICATED BY WATANBE CARTOUCHE AND SEAL ( see photos ). Held on the back board by the two upper corners. Some small creasing on bottom margin edge and some yellowing ( see photos ), overall very good condition and measures 14 1/4 inches by 9 3/8 inches. |
