Description :
Koyo Omura was born in Hiroshima. He graduated from Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting under Takeuchi Seiho. He exhibited traditional Japanese paintings in Bunten and Teiten. His Prints were published by Kyoto Hanga-in.

Condition Very good shape, mat has a stain lower mat.

If you collect Japanese wood blocks, then here is an opportunity to obtain a very nice one by koyo omury or j i really am not sure of spelling, of a deer. signed by artist. there are two seals on the front which I cannot decypher, also left side of print has printed by kyoto-hanga-in 1952. see photos. back of cardboard has framers label and one from kyoto hanga-in co., ltd. kyoto japan. has finest shinagawa's wood block print. This is guaranteed to be a vintage piece of art, printed from wood blocks--see photos. On the back is the typical ink offset found on most wood block prints. this print is in very good conditon, but matting around print has two small tears on bottom of picture, but matting can be easily replaced. cardboard back. print measures 10 3/4 by 15 3/4, and matting measures 14 1/4 by 18 inches.
