KAWANO KAORU (1916 - 1965)

Framed Japanese woodblock print depicting a girl praying with a cross in the background. Signed Kaoru Kawano in pencil and sealed with a red Kawano seal. The print measures 9.5" by 15.25" inside the mat opening. The frame measures 14" by 19". The print appears to be in very good condition.

You are bidding on an original Japanese woodblock print “Cross Child” signed by the Famous Taisho/Showa Shin Hanga woodblock print artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). The print size is 16 1/4 x 11 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop mark are at the lower left corner of the print. There is “No 28” close to the lower bottom edge in the back of the print.
Image measures 9" by 15", appears to have full margins
Signed in pencil
In excellent condition.
