Original Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui titled "Fuji from Narusawa"! This print is an early edition print from 1936, bearing the earliest possible publisher's seal in the lower right margin, the Watanabe C seal (used from 1929 - 1942). The overall condition is good to very good. The only condition problem is a small repaired tear in the upper margin (not extending into the image). There used to be a small piece of tape attached to the print at this point. The paper has been slightly discolored in this area, which can be seen in the scan. Otherwise the print looks very good. The margins and back are untoned and clean. The colors are strong and comparable to the image pictured in the 2003 Hasui catalogue raisonne (no. 395). The image size is oban, about 10 x 15 inches.
