Estate Sale find from a beautiful home of a collector of Asian Art. I'm selling this beautiful Kawano Kaoru Woodblock print. SIGNED on the bottom right corner. Woodblock is 11" by 7 1/2" and frame around 21" by 17 1/4".
This is an original sosaku hanga Japanese woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). The print is in very good condition. Fine impression, strong color and bleedthrough. No toning, creases or folds. There are some faint spots (possible foxing) in the margins which do not affect the image. Paper size is 11" x 16.5".
