Notes (this edition)
These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.:
This image is very typical of Kawano's work with the strong yet simple composition.. It shows a young girl kneeling, holding flowers. Butterflies fly around her head, and are striking because of the metallic ink Kawano used for this element of his design. The print is in very good condition, is signed in pencil in the image to the lower right and is also stamped with his stamp. The print measures 15" x 9 1/8". It has not been examined out of frame. It is nicely matted and framed in a silver-toned metal frame. Frame size is 20" x 14". The back of the frame has a biography of the artist attached.
