You are bidding on a beautiful woodblock print of Mt. Fuji by Tokuriki Tomikichiro. This is one of three woodblocks of Mt. Fuji I have listed on Ebay by Tokuriki. Good ink bleed through. Measures 16”x11”. Thursday, 3 May 2007

Tokuriki Tomikichiro- Tokuriki was born and raised in Kyoto and was influenced by the local art scene from childhood. He stayed in Kyoto for his entire career and was a leader of the Kyoto Sosaku Hanga. He graduated from the Kyoto City School of Fine Arts and Crafts and after that from the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. While he began his career in the painting field, he found his true calling in the woodblock print field and was enthusiastic about the reemergence of woodblock prints in 20th century Japanese art. He was influential in the development of new artists later in his career and set up his own publishing company called Matsukyu.

Condition- Color and detail excellent. This print is not backed. In excellent condition overall. Some very light spotting in subject as shown. Some light wrinkling on lower edge.
