KAWASE HASUI (1883-1957)
"Arashiyama In Spring" Made in the 4th Month of the 9th Year of Showa or April 1934. It depicts a pleasure sanpan on the river in Arashiyama (a suburb of Kyoto), seen through pine trees and flowering cherry trees. The print measures 10.5 by 15.5 inches. It has a 6mm Watanabe seal meaning that it is a post war reprint but was printed while Hasui was alive. Signed and sealed with the Hasui red seal in the lower right corner. Very Good Condition.
A beautiful woodblock print by Kawase Hasui. The print is in excellent condition, with no foxing, no tears, no creasing. Very slightly sunstruck with slight toning. Watanabe seal in lower left corner within body of the print. Measurements: 10.5" X 15.25" Artist: Kawase, Hasui (1883-1957)
