This print is approx 11 by 16". Good bleed through of paint as shown in the pictures. It is unframed and signed in pencil and has the artist red stamp. This one is of a girl with a bird. There is a rub to the print by the bird. Also a rub in the upper left. The edges are a bit wrinkled. |
Beautiful Kaoru Kawano Japanese Woodblock Print, approx. 10" by 15" print size, 16 1/4" by 22" framed size. The print is marked with a red mongram and is signed in pencil Kaoru Kawano in the lower right hand corner. Condition is good to very good. The colors are crisp with no fading or age discoloration. The print has been laid down/adhered to its backing. It is flat with no ripples or creases. Along the outside edges, there is evidence of some backing paper which may be dry mount paper. The margin on the print has been trimmed and is not perfectly square (see photo). |
The artist is Kaoro Kawano as sealed. Paper is about 16 1/4" by 11 1/4". |
KAWANO Kaoru (1916-1965). Yellow canary, oban tate-e (15¼" x 10¼"). Kawano red seal LR; black publisher's seal verso in margin. Condition: excellent, full margins with deckle edges.
