THIS IS A VINTAGE SMALL JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT OF TWO CHILDREN, A GIRL AND A BOY, CATCHING FIREFLIES WITH A FAN AND CAGE. The background is dark gray, and the boy is dressed in green, blue, black and white with brown shoes, while the girl is dressed in a red and white kimono with yellow obi and red sandals. The fireflies are yellow. The colors in the woodblock print are much more vivid than in my photos. There is a two character signature and a seal, but I don't know the artist. The measurement is 3 1/2" X 5 1/2". The woodblock print is affixed to the card by a very thin area at the top of the print. There is no message in the card--rather a paper to write a note on. This card was brought back from Japan about 1950, following the occupation after World War II. K.YURIMOTO
Authentic woodblock print from the series "The Life Of Japanese Children". Each measures 5.5" X 3.5". All prints are in Very Good Condition and tipped to card stock. Signed and sealed.
