This is an genuine original Japanese woodblock print by great shin-hanga artist Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) titled "Snow at Sekiguchi” (Sekiguchi no yuki). The print is dated Showa 7 (1932). This print is original prewar edition published by Watanabe in 1932, and bears at the right margin appropriate Watanabe publishers seal (pay attention on closeup). One from the best Hasui’s winter views made in a very delicate color combinations. Great impression, good color and registration, clean backside, very good condition. Signed by artist Hasui, has seal “Sui” in the image and titled in kanji at the left margin. Oban size 15 1/4" x 10 1/4". This print is extremely rare and offered here with a reasonable reserve.
