Waterwheel and Fuji- Beautiful print of an old waterwheel in the foreground, Fuji rising majestically behind. This is a classic Japanese print scene contrasting the majesty of nature with the quaint picturesque places created by man. Classic Japanese woodblock design, wonderful piece, easy to live with.

Signed- Tokuriki Tomichiro with artist’s seal
Titled- Waterwheel and Fuji (in Japanese)
Image size- 15” x 10 1/4” (nice large print, great presentation)
Condition- Excellent, no toning, no tears, not mounted, good color
A lovely Japanese woodblock print, The Water-Mill, featuring Mt Fuji in the background. Tokuriki (1902-2000) was a well known Japanese artist popular in the fifties for his beautiful woodblock prints in subtle pastel colors. He continued an unbroken chain of family artists going back to the sixteenth century.

Approximate plate size: 11.3 x 16.2 inches

Image below shows print with lightweight paper mat on lightweight board. Print is lightly held in place on 2 spots on reverse of print...no damage to print.

Some discoloration on edges of matting, which does not affect print. Picture is a bit blurry because of photographer not because of rubbing.

Japanese Woodblock Print by Tomikichiro. Printed Circa 1965. Subject: Mt. Fuji. Size is 11 1/4 x 16 1/4 inches. Good Color, Impression and Condition (Toning on the backside).
