A lovely Japanese woodblock print, The Water-Mill, featuring Mt Fuji in the background. Tokuriki (1902-2000) was a well known Japanese artist popular in the fifties for his beautiful woodblock prints in subtle pastel colors. He continued an unbroken chain of family artists going back to the sixteenth century. Approximate plate size: 11.3 x 16.2 inches Image below shows print with lightweight paper mat on lightweight board. Print is lightly held in place on 2 spots on reverse of print...no damage to print. Some discoloration on edges of matting, which does not affect print. Picture is a bit blurry because of photographer not because of rubbing. |
