Signed, large, Modern Japanese woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu. The woodblock is a double oban size and measures 19" by 14" image, 21" by 15" paper. The print is signed lower right within the print, and again in pencil, lower right margin, 'Shiro Kasamatsu' it is also titled? lower center in pencil. The condition is very good with strong colors but it does have some light toning, some small areas of tape residue on the verso corners, and 3 small brown stains on the bottom margin. The back of the print looks like a liquid had dripped on it but it does not affect the image at all. The print has not been trimmed or glued to a backing. |
