ORIGINAL JAPANESE PRINT= Z-250= IRIS BOWL= BY HARU MAKI, 1924-2000, '78 HC 75. EDITION... SIZE OF PRINT: 11 X 8 PLUS FULL MARGINS. WITH PAPER FRAME SIZE: 17 1/2 BY 14 INCHES.
This is a really spectacular print by noted Japanese printmaker Haku Maki. The print depicts an iris in a black freeform bowl. As is typical with Maki prints, the image is deeply textured, and the bowl borders on three-dimensionality (if that's a word). Mint condition, never framed. Signed lower right, dated 98, numbered 2/250. One of the most attractive Haku Maki images I have ever seen. It measures about 11 x 8 plus full margins.
