You are viewing a rare set of Japanese woodblock prints by Takeji Asano (1900-1999). Among his famous works is this set entitled, “Eight Views of Kinki, all produced in 1954.
Important to all of these woodblocks is the statement, “Takeji gokoku – suru” printed on the block, roughly translated to, “Takeji paint, cut, print” written on all eight prints, very similar to a "Jizuri" seal on Hiroshi Yoshida works.
