These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: 		Shinakawabashi at Handa Owari from the series Tokaido Fukei Senshu by Kawase Hasui. Genuine woodblock print dated March Showa 10 (1935). Later impression from original blocks. Fine color, condition and impression. Nice ink bleed through on fine washi. Oban size measures 15.7 x 10.4 inches. Title and date in left margin. Hasui characters and red sui seal in lower right of image. 7mm Watanabe round seal in lower right corner of image. Red Heisei era Watanabe seal in right margin. Beautiful Hasui snow scene

 Kawase Hasui - "Snow at Shinkawabata"

Original atozuri wooblock print (later edition from original blocks) . Bearing the red Watanabe Heisei era seal in the bottom right margin. This indicates the print was created during the reign of the current Emperor Akihito, who ascended to the Throne in January 1989. Feint Watanabe 7mm seal in bottom right of the image.

Oban size print on thick, modern washi.

 Bishu Handa Shinkawabata by Kawase Hasui. Genuine woodblock print dated December Showa 10 (1935). Later impression from original blocks. Fine condition. Oban size measures 15.7 x 10.4 incehs. Strong ink penetration on fine Hosho Washi. 7mm Watanabe seal in lower right of image. Red Heisei era Watanabe seal in right margin.

 This print by Hasui is titled "Snow at Shinkawabata, Handa, Bishu" ("O_Handa Shinkawabata"), and was originally carved and printed in 1935. This is a later edition, printed directly off of Hasui's original blocks. Superbly executed "bokashi" shading throughout. Print is in excellent condition. Image size is 9 1/2 x 14 1/4 inches, plus margins. (#JS-1605)
