I AM OFFERING A SMALL COLLECTION [AUCTIONED SEPERATLY] OF SHIN HANGA JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTS BY THE ARTIST BAKUFU OHNO KOYOTO 1888-1976 HANGA-SHINAGAWA PUBLISHER SEAL. I FOUND FOUR OF THEESE PRINTS IN MY UNCLES BASEMENT STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL CELLOPHANE WRAPPER WITH THE ORIGINAL MATT AND BACKING. LARGE OBAN SIZE WITH FULL MARGINS. THIS IS A RARE SIGNED "FIRST PRINTING" CHRYSANTHEMUMS. MINT AND UNTOUCHED 1949.

This is a wonderful contemporary Japanese floral woodblock print artist signed in both Japanese and English - B. Ohno. The stamp on the left edge reads “Printed by Kyoto Hanga in 1950. The print with overall measurements of approximately 10 3/8” by 15 ½” is beautifully decorated with giant embossed chrysanthemums on long leafy stems and is in excellent condition with no holes, tears or apparent damage.
