Subject: In 1897 the Emperor of China made the gift of a rare white Elephant to the Emperor of Japan. The beast is depicted here caparisonned being led in procession by elaborately dressed Chinese bandsmen. Rare.

Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Japanese album backing paper. Minor marks and flaws. Generally fine state of preservation
