Impression Very Fine. Superbly executed "bokashi" shading throughout; "baren sujizuri" markings to sky; light "gauffrage" to mountain top, trees and rooftop; "gofun" over-splashed as falling snow; crisply and highly detailed carving.
Condition Excellent. Strong, unfaded colors. Clean backside. (Light toning.)

Height 15.3 inches = 38.9 cm
This is an original tanzaku size, shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Takahashi Hiroaki (1871-1945) titled "Sawatari in Honsho Prefecture", circa 1935, and signed/sealed in the image by the artist.
The print is in very good condition. Fine impression, excellent color and registration. Extensive use of gofun in the image to simulate falling snow. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not been setdown or trimmed. This print has never been framed. Paper size is 6.75" x 15".
