"SARASUWA POND", A JAPANESE WOODBLOCK BY ARTIST HIROSHI YOSHIDA.

The actual print measures about 10 x 15 inches while the outside dimensions of the bamboo frame are 14 x 18 inches.

Beautiful colors.

Note: the Takemura distributer seal on the verso dates this print to circa <=1940. It is most likely the Takemura's premises was totally destroyed in the Allied firebombing of Yokohama toward the end of the war.

Lovely Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshi Yoshida. Signed and titled Sarusawa Pond in pencil. Seal marks and jizuri seal. Very faint mat burn on back and slight evidence in margins. Nice color but I would assume it is slightly faded. Sightsize 9 1/2 X 14 1/2.
