A fine unframed colour woodblock from the Shin Hanga movement, depicting two fishing boats at anchor at sunset. I do not know who the artist is but have taken close-ups of the seals to assist identification. On the reverse of the print is stamped - slightly indistinctly - H.Takemura Yokahama All Rghts Reserved Printed Matter
Condition is reasonable but there is overall acidic toning to the paper and general scattered foxing. There are also some very minor abrasions and minor creasing. Finally, there is a small area of paper loss at the lower left corner. The print is lightly hinged at the right hand edge to a backing card.
Size: 10 x 15.125 inches (to sheet edge) - UNFRAMED |

Similar to Eisen Tomioka's print!
This is a wonderful Japanese woodblock print depicting Japanese fishing boats sailing out towards the sunset and measures approximately 9 7/8” by 14 7/8”. This is a very nice impression with its warm strong colors and I find no holes or trimming of the print. I have been unable to identify the artist but I believe the print is from the late 19th or early 20th century.
