Rice Planting by Shiro Kasamatsu. Genuine woodblock print. Fine condition, color and impression. 15.8 x 10.9 inches. Title (Taue), Unsodo publisher' seal, Shinmi printer's seal and Nagashima carver's seal in left margin. Unsodo's Gei watermark in corner. Shiro characters and red seal in lower right of image.

Condition: Perfect colors. Full size with large margins. Generally exceptionally fine state of preservation.

Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.

Offered for sale is an original 20th century Japanese woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991), titled Rice Planting, 1953. It was published by Unsodo, and is an early printing.


The print is in very good condition, with very fresh colors. There is a spot in the top left corner, a printing smudge in the right margin, and paper reisidue on the reverse right corner. The image measures approximately 14 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches, plus margins.
