| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | This print by Hasui is titled "Harbor at Night, Otaru" ("Otaru no Hatoba"), and was originally carved and printed in 1933. This is a later edition, printed directly off of Hasui's original blocks. Superbly executed "bokashi" shading; woodgrain visible in sky. Paper size is full oban, with the image itself measuring 9 1/2 x 14 1/4 inches. Print is in excellent condition. This fine Hasui print is one of five images recently re-issued by Watanabe Publisher. Heisei era Red Watanabe seal in left margin. Title and date in right margin. Oban size measures 15.6 x 10.4 inches. Fine condition. Nice detail and ink penetration. |
