SNOW AT SHIBA PARK

THIS ONE OF THE GREAT HASUI'S WORKS. THE SIZE IS 10.5X18" WITH A 0.6cm WATANABESEAL WICH INDICATES ITS PRINT DATE IS AFTER THE WAR. THE WOODBLOCK IS PENCIL SIGNED AND TITLED AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

Japanese Woodblock Print by Kawase Hasui

Image Size: Oban, about 10" x 15"

Condition: Fine color and bleed through, very good condition, may be a calendar print commissioned by Pacific Transport lines (edition of 500 copies), never been framed

This woodblock print is part of a hanging calendar / portfolio and each print is attached just at the top. The other paper shows yellowing around the edges but the print itself is in great condition. There are eleven other prints from this portfolio that I am listing individually.
VERY FINE ANTIQUE JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT.. A MOST BEAUTIFUL SUBJECT MATTER OF A WINTER SCENE, AND WITH SIGNATURE ETC..THE PRINT IS INSCRIBED IN PENCIL TO THE BOTTOM: SHIBA PARK TOKIO - HASUI KAWAN ??. I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON JAPANESE PRINTS, SO I HAVE IMAGED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE OF THIS PRINT, TO LET THE IMAGES SPEAK FOR ME..THE PRINT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND IS OFFERED UNFRAMED..SIZE: 10.5 INCHES X 15.5
This Block Print by Kawase Hasui (1883 -1957) is of Shiba Park, Tokyo. Other than having discoloration around the border it is in good condition with vivid colors. It is pencil signed and titled in the lower margin and has the publisher's seal Watanabe. This is an original print and measures 15" X 10 1/4".
