This is an genuine original Japanese woodblock print by great shin-hanga artist Takeji Asano (b.1900) titled "Snow at Ginkakuji Temple ". The print is dated Showa 28 (1953). This print is first edition published by Unsodo in 1953, dated under Unsodo seals on the left margin. The print is not trimmed, has full margins. Great impression, good color and registration. Signed by artist Takeji-ga in the image and titled in kanji at the left margin and in western style on bottom margin. Oban size 15 1/2" x 10 1/2".

Condition is very good. No tears, folds or creases. This print is perfect in every way. Strong image bleedthrough to verso

Beautiful Japanese woodblock print by Takeji Asano. Snow in Chioin Temple, Kyoto and probably dating from the 1950s, published by Unsodo, signed Asano. Not framed, not trimmed. Some discolored marks at the verso, not visible at front. Pin hole at center top margin, bottom edge slightly creased. 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches.
