This is an original sosaku hanga Japanese woodblock print by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). The print is in very good condition. Fine impression, strong color and bleedthrough. No foxing, toning or folds. There are some soft handling creases in the left margin.
It is signed by the artist Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965) and his stamp in red is in the corner. It was sent from Japan as a gift back in the 60s. I do not know the date. The print is unframed. It is in very good condition with no tears or stains.
