This is a wonderful woodblock print by sosaku hanga printmaker Kiyoshi Saito. It is oban size, more or less, measuring about 14 x 8 1/2 plus large margins. Brush signed lower right in the image. Excellent color, impression and condition; there are a few old tape remnants in the reverse margins. An outstanding print by the one of the masters of the craft.
This is a Kiyoshi Saito print of high quality.The work is of a self taught modern print master.His forms originate in nature.Influenced strongly by Redon,Munch,and Gauguin.He was attracted by their romanticism,their exoticism,and their mysticism.Measures approx 8+ by 14 inches ot the mat and 15+ by 21+ inches framed.
