| Notes (this edition) These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: | This is a gorgeous woodblock print of a young girl by sosaku hanga master Kiyoshi Saito. The print measures about 14 x 9 1/2 (image) plus margins. It is pencil signed lower right and sealed with the artist's red seal. Moderately toned in the margins, but the image is very nice. Excellent color and impression; great woodgrain in the background. |
Kawano, Kaoru- child carrying a younger child 2- 1.jpg is: Japanese Woodblock Print by Kiyoshi Saito, 1960s. The size is 10 x 14 3/8 ins. The signature, K Saito, is written in pencil in the bottom margin, the publisher's seal printed in red on the left margin. This print, and the other 2 by the same artist, we are currently offering, was collected by the late Professor Bill Enking of Pasadena University in Japan in the 1960s. It has been kept in a folder and is untrimmed and unfaded. The condition is almost mint. |
This print was done by master woodblock artist Kiyoshi Saito. It is pencil signed in his own hand, rather than printed on. It is a beautiful print of a child carrying a younger child. It is a full sheet in great condition. |
