This is a beautiful original woodblock print by postwar Japanese printmaker Hiyoshi Mamoru, depicting a street scene and temple. Signed lower right, with seals of the artist and publisher. Good color, impression; there is some creasing in the upper image; it should be pretty unnoticeable once framed. Oban size, about 9 x 14" plus margins.

A lovely woodblock print by Hiyoshi Mamoru, dated 1952 and bearing seals on the right hand side of the print which show the carver and the printer and the publisher (Kyoto Hanga). The print measures 11.25" X 15.75" and it is in its original folder. There is some foxing on the folder borders, and very very slight foxing on the print itself. The print is in excellent condition, a good impression with good color gradation.
