Original Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Shotei. Subject: Farmer in snow. Date: ca. 1920's-30's. Excellent color & impression. Some toning on the four verso corners (doesn't effect image, mostly visible on bottom verso corners). Chuban design measures 7" x 10".

Description Man is carrying baskets during a snow storm. The windows of the houses cast the warm orange lights from the background.
Note "Made in Japan" stamped on verso. Provenance: Robert O. Muller Collection.
Width Item 7.2 inches = 18.2 cm
Height Item 9.9 inches = 25.2 cm
Measures 7 by 10 inches.
I can't for the life of me remember who did this lovely night snow scene. It is in pristine condition and measures 7 1/8 by 10 inches. Dates from late 1930's to mid 1940's.
