Iizaka by Shiro Kasamatsu. Original woodblock print dated 1954. Fine condition. Never been framed. Oban size measures 16.1 x 10.8 inches. Strong ink penetration to verso. Unsodo publisher's seal, Shinmi printer's seal, Nagashima carver's seal, date and Unsodo's gei watermark in left margin. Shiro characters and red seal in corner.

This print was created by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991). Here is “Iizaka, Fukushima”, one of great prints published and printed by Unsodo in 1954, dated Showa 29 under Unsodo seals on the left margin (1st edition), print has Kasamatsu red seal in the image. Signed Shiro Kasamatsu in Japanese in the image and in Western style on bottom margin. Oban size 16" by 10 3/4". Fine impression, excellent color , bleedthrough and registration - pristine condition.

A Japanese woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1992) published by Unsodo, titled Iizaka, Fukushima (1954) , water mark in the print paper in lower left margin under the seals, signed and sealed, date in lower margin is Showa 29 which is 1954 (see picture), this is an early edition, pristine print with beautiful shades of blue, kento in right hand corner of the print, strong colors, not framed, not toned, not backed, not glued , deckled edges , 16 " x 10 1/2".
Old wood block print. Measures 16" tall and 10 1/2" wide.
