Description A crane on the green background
Note Signature is hard to see but it is written on the lower right area of the image.
Width 11.4 inches = 29.0 cm
Height 17.1 inches = 43.5 cm
Woodblock print by Japanese artist KAORU KAWANO (1916-1965). The woodblock is of a crane type birdl. The print is not glued on board but a free sheet, with old glue residue on the back edge, in excellent condition. The paper is cream color paper. Sheet size is 10-3/8 x 16" .There is no foxing, no tears, no stains.
KAWANO Kaoru (1916-1965). Tancho (Japanese crane), oban tate-e (15" x 10¼"). Kawano red seal LR; black publisher's seal verso in margin. Condition: excellent, full margins with deckle edges
