A fabulous woodblock by the listed artist Bakufu Ohno. The colors are exceptional and more vivid than show in the pictures. It is signed with a seal as shown in the pictures. Paper size is approximately 11 inches by 16 inches. This painting has a nice flow. I especially like the baby under the umbrella and the tea pot with cups circling around.
Theis is an original oban size shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Bafuku Ohno (1888-1976). The print was published by Kyoto Hanga in 1950. The print is in fine (mint) condition. It has never been framed, or probably not even seen the light of day for 50+ years Fine color, impression, registration and bleedthrough. The print is still tipped to it's original presentation folder. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not trimmed or setdown. Image size is 9.5" x 14.5", paper size is 10" x 15.25".
