Kiyoshi Saito Print Okuno-Hosomichi

You are bidding on a color woodblock print titled Okuno-Hosomichi and dated 1965 by the well known artist Kiyoshi Saito. The print measures 18 x 23 ¾ inches overall. The print is signed in the plate with black ink and has the seal above. It is titled in pencil and reads Okuno-Hosomichi Cyuson-ji Hiraizumi 99/150 1965 The print is on handmade paper watermarked “Kiyoshi Saito” with deckled edges all around. The back has a tipped on paper tag reading “self-carved self printed kiyoshi Saito”. This print is in excellent condition save for the tape residue on the back of the print as seen in the picture. The tape has bled through slightly in a few places.
This is an original double oban size limited edition Japanese woodblock print by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997) titled "Okuno-Hosomichi Cyuson-ji Hiraizumi". The print is sealed and signed in ink in the image, dated 1965, and edition 45/150. The print is in fine (pristine) condition. Fine imression, color , registration and bleedthrough. The print has never been framed. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not setdown or trimmed. All four edges of the paper are deckled. Image size is 15" x 20.5", paper size is 18" x 23.5". The "Self-Carved Self Printed " tissue is still attached to the verso.
