Condition excellent - very good … album backing, slightly soiled, slight red transfer ink stains.
Description "Fujigawa no Komei" (Famous Names at the Battle of Fujikawa). Samurai warrior Kinoshita Tokichiro (Left: later known as Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi who estublished Momoyama Shogunate) fights against Ito Hyuga no Kami on white horse in the river Fuji.

Subject: In the shallow waters of a lake at the foot of Mount Fuji a Samurai general on horse back is ambushed by three Samurai.

Date: c. 1897

Condition: Fine colors. Japanese album backing paper. Slight trimming.Two small patches of offsetting around the sword. Minor marks and flaws. Generally quite good state of preservation.

Impression: Fine impression with lacquer.
