Subject: A distant evening view of a hillside town, seen through pine trees, reflected in the calm waters of a lake where a solitary fishing boat is working by the light of a flare. An exquisite design, superbly printed.

Publisher: Baba Nobuhiko

Date: 1940

Condition: Fine colors. Perfect condition apart from a light waterstain in right margin.

Impression: Very fine impression with gauffrage.
Japanese Woodblock (Artist Signed)
10 1/2" x 15 1/2"

I have two Koitsu woodblocks selling at auction Friday night, 2 Sept, at an auction in Laurel Maryland. Thank you for your site, which helped me confirm the artist.

The two pieces are Atami at Night (mine is signed and dated 1935) and Kangetsu Bridge (mine is signed and dated 1936.
