These notes were written by the original owner/seller/auctioner of the item and may be inaccurate.: 		Shiobara Saru Iwa by Kawase Hasui. Genuine woodblock print dated Showa 24. Later impression from original blocks. Fine condition, color and impression. Strong ink bleedthrough. Oban size measures 15.7 x 10.3 inches. Round 7mm Watanabe seal in lower right corner of image. Heisei era Watanabe seal in right margin. Date and title in left margin. Autumn at Saruiwa, Shiobara, 1949

Autumn at Saruiwa, Shiobara

The winding road setting on the side of the mountain in the beautiful, scenic Shiobara. The rich colors of the fall in Japan are resplendent in this wonderful, natural scene.

Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui”
Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks
Image size- 9 ½” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e)
Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins.
