Notes (1st edition)Signed in Japanese Bakufu and in Western style B. Ohno inside the image. Sealed Bakufu. Oban Tate-e (Image 9 1/2" x 14 1/2"). Just using your helpful website (thank you!), and wondered if you would be interested to know for inclusion in the database that I have a Morning Glory woodblock print by Bakufu Ono which has the 'seal' FIRST-PRINTING.1949.

First edition seals in left and bottom margins, along with publisher/printer/carver seals in left margin. This is one of three woodblock prints by Bakufu Ohno (Ono) that I am currently offering on eBay. This print depicts a lovely flower scene. It is in excellent condition and approx. 10 x 15 inches.

You are bidding on a beautiful and original, signed Japanese Woodblock Print by Ohno Bakufu of what I believe to be blooming Morning Glory vines, ca: 1950. It is an Oban Tate-e (Image 9 1/2" x 14 1/2") with excellent color and in excellent condition. Print has never been matted or framed. It is signed by the artist, lower right.
This print is authentic, not restrike or reproduction. I guarantee it. This is an genuine original Japanese woodblock print by great shin hanga artist Ohno Bakufu (1888-1976). Morning Glory flowers over light “sky blue” background. Created in 1951. No toning, folds or creases. The print is not trimmed or setdown. Excellent impression, colors and registrations. With hand painted embellishments of “gofun”. Signed by ink by the artist in japanese Ohno Bakufu and in western style B. Ohno inside the image. Has seal Bakufu. Publisher seals of Kyoto-Hanga-in on the right margin. Oban size 15 3/4" x 11".
