Monday, 19 December 2005 Up for auction are 2 Original Japanese Woodblock Print's by (KOITSU) Title: Plum Nightingale,the woodblock is on paper publishers seal lower right,and has Koitsu Watermark,and in the left hand margin signed.Condition is good size 7 9/16" x 15".The other Koitsu is 15" x 7 3/4" of two ducks landing with the moon in the background V/G Condition. |
Note: This is different triple-cut form of an oban print. Original Japanese Woodblock Print “WILD DUCKS” by Tsuchiya Koitsu, color print by Seki? Circa 1979. Publisher Doi Eiichi. Size approximately 7” by 13 ¾” inches. Fine impression superb execution of “bokashi” shading and very nicely detailed. Condition is good to very good with edge wear and some thinning at the top, minimal wrinkling. |
